Truss: We will not cut public spending
Description
The prime minister has ruled out public spending cuts at PMQs, saying the government will "make sure the debt is falling" over the medium term "by making sure we spend public money well". Liz Truss accused Labour of criticising the government for both "spending money" and "claiming we're cutting public expenditure". Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer look at the Tory backbenches as he responded, "I hope they listen very carefully to that".
