Trump’s Solar Panel Tariffs to Have Big Effect?

Donald Trump’s new tariffs on solar panel imports aren’t enough to badly damage the industry. The U.S. solar industry employs 260,000 people and is one of the fastest-growing energy sectors. Wind and solar power make up most of the new power capacity added to the U.S. grid in recent years. The Solar Energy Industries Association said that Trump’s 30 percent tariff was not as bad as it could have been. The president could have even imposed a 50 percent tariff if he wanted.
