Trump On China Deal

On Saturday President Trump announced progress has been made toward a trade deal with China, while still denying he is considering lifting tariffs on Chinese imports. Trump told Reuters reporters, “Things are going very well with China and with trade,” adding that he has seen some “false reports” indicating that U.S. tariffs on Chinese products would be lifted. Trump clarifies, “If we make a deal certainly we would not have sanctions and if we don’t make a deal we will.
