Trump defends twitter attacks

Donald Trump has defended his use of social media, hitting back at claims he is not presidential.

Speaking in front of raucous supporters at a faith rally in Washington ,the president brought many to their feet when he once again condemned traditional news organisations.

“The fake media is trying to silence us, but we will not let it, because the people know the truth. The fake media tried to stop us from going to the White House, but I’m president, and they’re not, ‘’ Trump declared.

Trump has been heavily criticised by both Democrats and Republicans for using Twitter to attack MSNBC presenter Mika Brzezinski.

But defending his remarks, he fired off a series of tweets, insisting his use of social media was the ‘Modern Day presidential’.

Trump also claimed that the Fake and Fraudulent News Media was working hard to try to convince Republicans to silence him.

On Saturday, he also doubled down on his attacks against Brzenzinski, calling her as ‘‘Dumb as a rock’‘

The latest outbursts by the president come after the MSNBC presenter and her co-anchor and fiancée Joe Scarborough questioned Trump’s metal state on their morning programmme.
