True Pain - I Wonder

If I stood on tiptoe and
reached up high toward the clouds
and carved our names into them,
would you laugh out loud?

If I drew you afloat
in a pen and ink sea,
drifting in a boat with me,
would you laugh at what you see?

If I dipped a brush in starlight
and painted stars into the night sky,
would you look up,
and laugh at the reason why?

Or would you come close
and hold me tight?
Would you look me in the eyes
and runaway with me into the night?

I wonder....
