Trevor Lichte - Itsy Bitsy spider

The itsy bitsy spider
Climbed up a water spout
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out

He came flying out of that spout
And landed right on top his head
He didn’t know where to go, now that he was out
But at least he wasn’t dead

The bump on his head
Was throbbing in pain
So he wasn’t dead,
But still he hated the rain!

For that kind of pain
It makes me wonder and doubt
If it wasn’t for the rain
What would he have done in that water spout?

Must be a reason, no doubt
Maybe there was a poker game
At the top of that spout
With bugs too famous to name

But the spider wont remember that game
Or remember where he is at
He probably wont remember his name
Unfortunately for us, we never knew that

And since he doesn’t know where he is at
He cannot tell us from where he came
Just don’t ever forget that
Itsy bitsy spider with no name

And yes out the sun came
And yes it dried up all the rain
But the little spider with no name
Never climbed up that spout again.

We don’t know where he went, we don’t know from where he came
But if you ever see him, say hello to the itsy bitsy spider with no name
