Treasury raised red flag

Former Human Settlements head, Gift Mokoena, says the national treasury raised issues over the financial implications of the Free State advance payment scheme. Mokoena says the issue was raised during an executive cabinet meeting. Then premier Ace Magashule is said to have also been in attendance and was chairing the meeting. The province paid close to R600 million to around a hundred contractors for work that was not done.
