TRB sets toll for new segment of TPLEX

MANILA, Philippines - The use of the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway will no longer be free starting June 13. The Toll Regulatory Board has given contractor San Miguel the green light to start collecting fees from Paniqui to Moncada in Tarlac, as well as from Moncada to Carmen in Pangasinan. These segments were opened in April to the public for free. SMC's Private Infra Development Corp. expects to fully complete the toll road by 2015. Once completed, it will cut travel time from Tarlac to La Union to only one hour. - ANC
