Bora Bora is an island in the Society Islands of French Polynesia. The island’s name was translated from the Tahitian name of “pora pora”, which can be translated as “First Born”. As a very popular tourism and holiday destination, a volcano created the island. The highest peaks in Bora Bora are Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu, which are remnants of the extinct volcano.
