Tomas Transtromer, Sweden's most famous living poet, speaks of his surprise after winning the Nobel prize for literature.
The 80 year old suffered a stroke over 20 years ago which severely limited his speech and movement but not the power of his writing.
After winning the award Transtromer spoke to journalists with his wife.

The poet's wife said Transtromer was very surprised by the announcement, but that the award gave him happiness.
The Swedish Nobel Academy last gave the prize for literature to a Swede over 30 years ago.
Transtromer works are not only popular in Sweden but have been translated in to more than 50 languages.
The veteran poet has been nominated for the prize every year since 1993.
This year the nomination finally became a victory.
