Transport Ministry develops high-speed system to detect overweight lorries
Description
A high-speed weighing-in-motion system is in the final phase of development to tackle the issue of overweight lorries, says Datuk Hasbi Habibollah.
The Deputy Transport Minister said in Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday (Mar 13) that the system is developed jointly with the Works Ministry and would detect and track overloaded heavy vehicles on public roads.
