Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023) EXPLAINED

In "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts," the story begins on the planet of the Maximals, where the sinister Transformer god Unicron plans to consume the planet for power. Unicron sends his minions, the Terrorcons, led by Scourge, to retrieve the Transwarp Key, which can grant him access to unlimited worlds. The Maximals, including Apelinq, Primal, Airazor, Rhinox, and Cheetor, prepare to leave the planet but face a fierce battle. Apelinq sacrifices himself, bestowing the name "Optimus Primal" upon Primal, and Unicron devours the planet.

In 1994 Brooklyn, Noah Diaz, a former soldier and electronics expert, struggles to support his sick brother, Kris. His job prospects are bleak until he encounters the Autobots. Elena Wallace, an art intern, discovers a statuette resembling a Transformer and unwittingly activates the Autobots' presence.

Noah, Elena, and the Autobots, including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Mirage, embark on a quest to find the Transwarp Key. They must thwart Scourge and the Terrorcons, who seek the same artifact. Along the way, they form an alliance with the Maximals.

The journey takes them to Peru, where they discover the other half of the key, guarded by the Maximals. Battles and sacrifices ensue, leading to a climactic showdown. Unicron's threat is temporarily averted, but Noah is approached by a secret government organization, G.I. JOE, hinting at future adventures.

Amidst the credits, Noah, with the help of his friend Reek, revives Mirage, setting the stage for future Transformers adventures.
