A hand moves not of its own accord but due to the desire of the soul in the body. Similar, a Krishna conscious person acts not out of a desire for personal sense gratification but in response to Krishna's supreme desire. So, for example, a Krishna conscious person maintains himself by working just to remain fit for engaging in the transcendental loving service of the Lord. He or she is therefore immune to any and all karmic reactions of that work.
