1936 was the end of transporting passengers for the steamtramline from Hoorn to Medemblik.. It started in 1887. Today it runs a few times a day and connects to a small steamliner in Medemblik that will take you to the ''zuiderzee''museumvilllage at Enkhuizen and back. You can make a full daytrip like that.
