Michelle Duva, trentenaire sortant tout juste de prison s’est fixé comme objectif de finir le Marathon de New-York. Pour son entraînement, il rejoint le club Team 1000 dont les ennemis jurés sont les membres du Club Zeus. Commence alors pour lui un long parcours du combattant pour remporter sa course.

A fake British documentary team travels to Sweden to follow Michelle Duva, a likeable and disarming male in his early 30’s who is just released after spending a year in prison. In jail, he has found his new life dream: to complete the New York City Marathon. With a physique not built for sport, he joins the colorful running club Team 100 and its larger-than-life coach Micke Stevenson. But as he made his choice, he also became an enemy to Club Zeus with the despotic Kenneth Frank at the helm. Together with a loyal group of social misfits Michelle starts a long journey to fight prejudice, elitism, and his own determination, as there are more snakes in the grass than a regular bloke with a big heart can handle.
