TRAI finalises suggestions on Call Drop compensation

TRAI finally steps in to solve the call drop menace. TRAI orders Telecom companies to compensate consumers for call drops. Telcos will pay rupee one per dropped call. This hardening stance was adopted after the Call Drop Audit Report. Earlier Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, asked the CEO of Vodafone to act immediately in this regard. The Vodafone CEO while expressing regret, blamed the operational situation in the country saying that spectrum and permit acquisition was the main issue.
