Toyota GR Yaris

At the end of last August, specifically on the 26th, the first unit of the new Toyota GR Yaris left the production line of the Motomachi plant in Toyota City (Japan). The all-new GR Yaris production facility has been designed to meet the specific manufacturing needs of Toyota's new sports car, which is set to be the new benchmark among sports compacts thanks to its 1.6-liter, three-cylinder engine. 261 hp, its all-wheel drive, its construction in light materials and its frame, the result of the mixture of two of the best Toyota platforms.

Toyota's return to sports car manufacturing in Japan has offered production engineers the opportunity to redesign assembly processes, in particular for the new GR Yaris. TOYOTA GAZOO Racing has created the ‘GR Factory’, a plant dedicated to the production of GR sports cars.
