Tori Ward - Something Deeper

Description
Sight that sees the good in the evil and the evil in the good.
On these lips are words,
Words unspoken due to the fright that lingered behind the brave words.
In this mind are thoughts,
The thoughts that people think are innocent...too bad they don't know.
Locked behind these golden doors of trust lies the heart,
Beating for love and want, but only is pushed away.
Underneath this skin lies a girl,
The one that is quiet and uses you as a character in her story.
She silently pleads why as she watches his life change before her eyes.
Behind his eyes is hate.
On his lips are curses to the ones who have hurt him.
In his mind are dark thoughts of regret as he never stopped her when she walked away.
Locked behind the beaten down doors of trust lies his gentle heart, the same one that used to beat for her, and secretly still does.
Under his skin is not a boy, but a man. A man who cares but never acted on his love. He simply watched the girl walk out of his life and never come back.
Under both their feet lies broken glass.
It was shattered completely in millions of little pieces.
No one picked it up, it just stayed there,
Much like their broken trust.
