Too much extreme brother

There are two sides to every extreme. People seem to be very aware of religious extremism but what about irreligious extremism i.e. people who don't practice their faith at all, they are also extremists ;)
Sadly when some Muslims can't practice certain basics tenants of Islam, they label that action as extreme, even though it may be explicitly mentioned in the Qur'an or hadith e.g. salaah, growing the beard e.t.c. this is just ridiculous and I felt this just had to be discussed, smile2jannah style off course.
