Tone Reverence - The Rose

Will this rose wither and fade away?
Or will it go on and live another day?
Its stem is weak from all the stress.
Its petals far from looking its best.

The heavy emotions it feels inside
The pain that it shows cannot be denied.
Tired of life, of stormy days,
On the windowsill of loneliness it lays.

Hoping and dreaming and waiting for the day,
That its heart stops aching and withering away.
Time will tell, if it will stain,
The countless drops of love in vain.

For this rose I purely hope it’s not too late,
For it to rise above heavens gates.
A fallen flower from the skies above,
I wish, I hope, I pray for love.
