Tomada is a rock band formed in 2000 and has since released the albums "Tudo em nome do Rock and Roll", "Volts", "O Inevitável" and EP "Tomada".
The band performs mainly in the state of Sao Paulo, in SESCs cultural venues, annually in the Centro Cultural São Paulo - during July, the month of Rock – influential festivals such as "Goiânia Noise", "Grito Rock" and "Virada Cultural de São Paulo".

Tomada has been one of the most prolific Brazilian rock bands on the internet, releasing new songs on their official website as well as on their Facebook pages and also at Trama Virtual’s. In 2013, the band released their first DVD, the documentary "XII - Estradas, Sons e Estórias na Terra do Rock Tupiniquim" covering 12 years of their original music.
The group receives massively reviews in Brazilian magazines and newspapers especially the recent interview for the site of Veja magazine.

"O inevitável" was considered one of the most important albums of the year 2011 by the UOL website and the Roadie Crew magazine.
The band also has space in the main music programs at broadcast TV with emphasis on Trama TV, Show Livre, MTV, Multishow and Rede TV. The video for the song "Ela não tem medo" features in all those.
