TNB expects lower electricity tariff next year
Description
Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) president and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan said he expected a slightly lower electricity tariff next year following the recent reduction in the cost of production of coal and gas.
Speaking to the press after a Yayasan Tenaga Nasional event on Thursday, Amir said the new tariff would depend on the Energy Commission, which will make a detailed evaluation before proposing it to the Cabinet.
