The winter wind blows cold, and strong,
The days are short, the darkness long,
As icy storms seduce the night,
The fire is our only light,
Our only hope resides in flame,
The holy fire keeps us sane,
Protects us from encroaching dark,
From ice that seeks to freeze our hearts,
To steal our breath, and souls alike
Our only hope is in the light
The fires burn, warm and bright,
To protect us from the winter night
