Description

Since the day you left he's been running,
Running from what was once his life.
But no matter how fast or cunning,
He'll never escape your knife.

He fakes a smile for everyone,
Because he hates to hurt.
But smiling isn't ever fun,
When you've thrown him in the dirt.

And pretending gets so hard,
When you pretend for a staring crowd.
His hearts nothing but a mended shard,
That could shatter so deafeningly loud.

He wears his bent mask for you,
He hides his face of shame.
But none of this you ever knew,
Because he plays it like a game.

His tears fall like razorblades,
And his heart flutters like a broken wing.
For love and life farewell he's bade,
As an angel starts to sing.

And now he's gone away,
His very short life is through.
His lifeless body is left to lay,
All because he loved you.
