Tim Benton - DEATH AND BEYOND

For all it ends with the last breathe, then the release of the spirit within,
Then on to our destination depending whether we were righteous or lived a life of sin.
For all, we are sent down the hall of remembrance to be met by a great light,
Depending on how we lived our life we look to it with great joy or fright.

For the righteous we live eternity learning of Him at his feet,
Sharing the joy of the experience with all we meet!
Knowledge of the universe laid bare for us to find with glee,
The praises rise up from all as a roar, as the beauty of creation we see!

For others they sit waiting for judgment with no one and nothing but thoughts,
Realizing how they wasted all for nothing but power and money, and the menial things bought.
A lifetime was just a flash in the light of eternity’s wake,
Sadly they couldn’t see it as through life they looked for what they could take.

In the end we are all bound with the same rules of life the will forever decide our fate,
All HE hopes is you find the truth of life before it is to late.
Do we live for the here and now looking past the consequences this outlook will bring?
Or do we look to heaven and offer up our praise to him in a way that for all eternity will ring!
