TikTok cracking down on political ads

TikTok is banning influencers from posting paid political content. The company says it hopes this will keep misleading information off its platform, ahead of the U.S. midterms. TikTok already doesn't allow any political advertisements. However, the company says it has been challenging to educate influencers specifically on the rules around paid content. TikTok says it will remove any posted paid political content it finds.
