Description

I feel the heat
Burning down on me.
I hear the fire
Clashing together.
I see the gas
That created it all.
I hear a scream for help
That’s begging to be out.
I taste the ashes in my mouth
That beg to be spit out.
And I long for the water,
That will end it all.
Somehow I got into this fire.
Now I want out.
Forever.
I’ll be left with the burns
And I’ll always remember
The meaning of each one.
But it needs to be in the past.
Not the present.
I’m too young to be like this.
In this fire.
I’m longing for the rescue team
To come and help.
To get me out of this fire.
Pouring the water on me,
So I can be free.
But how?
And how long?
How long until the flames
Will vanish?
How long until the rescue team
Comes and helps?
How long I ask.
How long?
How long before it’s too late?
