Description

Quiet, the street at night, the pavement pooled in a bath of light,
The dark houses are silent, gleaning some sleep before the hectic morning.
Children lie in their colourful rooms, tossing and turning to the beat of their dreams.
The pale moon looks solemnly down on the world, watching the hours tick by.
Faint sounds of snores, suppressed giggles and household creaks.

Dawn breaks, birds chirp,
Chatter becomes audible and the world becomes alive.
Alarms go off, the rush begins, the hustle and bustle of the daylit hours.
Not enough time, too busy.

I prefer the night.
