Tia Maria - A Perfect Proposal

It still overwhelms me
As I remember that day
He called to meet for coffee
Something he wanted to say

He stood like a gentleman
And sweetly took my hand
Simply stating without any falter
I would like to marry your daughter

She is all I ever wanted
She is the perfect girl
Seven years of such bliss
It's time to make a promise

I want her to share my life
I want her to be my wife
I will take care of her
I absolutely adore her

It really was a Good Friday
And still she had no clue
As they walked the gardens
And of what he was about to do

She came across the table
Set for two under the tree
And that was the moment
He got down upon one knee

Words cannot describe
The grateful heart in me
I pray their love remains
And grows for all eternity
