The Lab LDN is Mixmag and Coors Light's weekly live stream, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our world famous office party.

This week we’re excited to be hosting world-spanning sounds from Throwing Shade.

The London-based selector has a degree in Ethnomusicology, and channels a global outlook into her sets that chart all corners of the musical map. Check out her fortnightly NTS residency for a dazzling expedition through diverse and thrilling sounds.

As a producer Throwing Shade is a specialist in crafting sparkling melodies above club-primed bases, with releases having arrived through esteemed imprints spanning Ominira, No Pain In Pop, Happy Skull, Beating Heart and Ninja Tune. She’s also been commissioned to create music for art installations, films, and contributed the vocals to SOPHIE’s warped pop mutation ‘Lemonade’.

We can’t wait to hear the rarities and vibrant choices Throwing Shade pulls out in The Lab. Since she’s also a black belt in karate, don’t be surprised if some secret weapons get unleashed!
