Here I show you how to work an unusual pattern
created by working into stitches in the row below.
Spaces rather like those worked in filet crochet
form the basic pattern on every row,
but by using a different colour on each row and
working into these spaces on the following row
a simple checked effect is created.
The best results are achieved when the pattern
is worked in a double knitted yarn
to make a really firm fabric.
