Thousands of people on May 13 marched in Tunis against a bill that would grant amnesty to corrupt businessmen.
The draft Economic Reconciliation bill is said to protect corrupt businessmen, who are given the option to report and repay stolen money instead of facing prosecution. The government said the law could help transferring lost cash amounted to around $3 billion into the economy.
