now, I'm alone on my spaceship
and very high above the earth
but I can still see your smile sometimes
i can still hear your words

so many distances between us now
from here, so much seems so small
no reason for me to come back down
i drift above it all

alone in the sky

not much in the sky for me to crash into
not much up here that I could break
just the moon
and it's always so far away
so far away

sometimes, I talk as if you hear me
and I can say all that I wanted to say
looking down at the lights of your city
then, the dream just slips away

out into the night
