Excerpt : Discovering the Thoiry ZooSafari animal park as a family
Saying that we discovered it as a family is not completely true as the girls had already visited the park a few times with their school, but this was the first time that we went together. With a lot of road works, the trip there on public transport was no bed of roses, but there is a bus that will drop you just in front of the Thoiry grounds.

The animal park was created in the grounds 50 years ago, initially as a means of financing restoration work on the manor house. Today it is a pride and joy of the Yvelines county and the Ile-de-France region. Similarly to the Planète Sauvage which we visited a few years ago, it offers a safari in a bush wagon as well as other fun activities. However the park does not provide accommodation, unlike the Zoo de Beauval which we haven’t visited yet. Of course, it’s very different to Animal Kingdom, except for the bush tour.

To name some of the activities, there was the Grand Défi du Labyrinthe (The Great Maze Challenge) where you will cross paths with mythical animals and answer a quiz, the Slack line and the Safari Air Park where you can have fun while (more or less) flying over the wild animals.
