A child.
A small child.

Bathed in laughter of his playmates.
Face glowing in the sunlight.
Innocent.
Naive.
Unsuspecting.

One day
A stranger.
Tall, dark.
Picks up the child.
And into a silver car.

Violated.
Tortured.
Used.

Innocence stripped
Away with the
Terrible day.

A child.
A small child.

Bathed in blood of his companions.
Face ashen, broken in the dawn.
Changed.
Forever.
And no more.

A child.
Lying cold and still in the gutter.
Dead.
But for what purpose?
