A robot falcon is being deployed scare away real birds. The Edmonton International Airport will use the “Robird”</a> on their runways to guide real birds away from air traffic. The Robird mimics the flight of a falcon, making other birds think there’s a real predator in their environment. The FAA estimates birds cost $400 million in aircraft damage each year in the U.S.
