This Particular Vaping Flavor Does Same Damage To Lungs As Cigarettes
12 Views • May 25, 2018
Description
It's widely known that cigarette smoke damages the lungs.
One effect is that the cilia--the tiny protrusions that clean the lungs--weaken.
Turns out, one chemical in cinnamon-flavored vape liquid does the same.
Preliminary research was presented at a conference of the American Thoracic Society.
Cinnemaldehyde also decreases the energy of the cells’ mitochondria.
That could make people who vape more vulnerable to chronic lung diseases and infection.
