This Is Russia’s First Stealth Fighter

Meet Russia’s first stealth fighter jet.

The fifth-generation jet</a> has been named the Sukhi SU-57, and Russia claims it will rival America’s F-22 Raptor.

The SU-57 boasts maximum speed of over 1600 mph and a maximum altitude of 12 miles off the Earth’s surface.

Its weapons systems also have the ability to track up to 60 targets from over 250 miles away.

But its stealth capability is what really stands out. Its shape and special coating will give it a low radar and heat signature

The initial order called for 52 planes, but only 12 will be given to the military in 2018.

The Russian military expects to have the fleet in action around sometime in 2019.
