A bionic hand</a> developed at Newcastle University has the ability to see. Biomedical engineers developed a prosthetic limb fitted with a camera that allows the hand to see and react to an object without the user’s full attention. The hand also adapts to what it needs to pick up, choosing a specific grip to successfully grasp the item. Researchers say this is the beginning of the development of a bionic hand that can sense pressure and temperature and transmit that information back to the brain.
