🎥 Thirteen Lives (2022)

A rescue mission is assembled in Thailand where a group of young boys and their soccer coach are trapped in a system of underground caves that are flooding.

Everyone knows this was a tough rescue by watching the news but boy, only when you watch the movie you would know this was practically an impossible task to achieve to begin with. Despite following this news story so well , none of the news coverages could paint the whole picture like this movie did.

The best part of the movie was it was very grounded and felt realistic the whole time just relaying on the real tension and horror of the cave and diving through its narrow patches while it’s flooded with running water. It did all this without trying to dramatize it too much despite having some really good cast like Collin Farrell, Virgo Mortensen etc. The focus was always on the rescue the whole time.

Also, quite honestly, for a rescue mission that lasted around 20 days the movie chose the best parts to focus on and gave really good insights on the risks involved.

Kept me and my wife on the edge the whole time and we didn’t even know what the movie was about until it started. Think it’s a really good watch for the weekend if you already have Prime and highly recommend it.
