1 Views • Dec 27, 2017
Description
Visitors to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park were treated to a wonderful Christmas present as thick lava gushed from a crater on December 26.
Hawaii resident John Tarson, who operates Epiclava tours around the volcanoes, captures the scene on “Madam Pele.” According to the Hawaiian religion, Pele, the goddess of fire, lives in the Kilauea volcano.
The US National Park Service</a> reported on Kilauea’ eruption on December 26 but said there was no threat to nearby communities. Credit: John Tarson/EpicLava Tours via Storyful
