Theresa May defends Brexit delay amid calls for resignation

British Prime Minister Theresa May has defended her decision to accept a Brexit delay,... dismissing calls for her resignation from her own party,.. adding that taking Britain out of the EU with an agreement is their "national duty".
In a statement to the House of Commons on Thursday,... the embattled PM expressed the need to resolve the issue,... insisting Britain could still leave the EU before the new deadline of October 31st.
May acknowledged that if her talks with the Labour Party don't result in an agreement,... a second referendum could take place.
