The WER nascono nel giugno del 2013 per merito di Alessandro (voce e chitarra) e Valerio (chitarra e cori). Ai due si aggiungono più tardi Gianluca (basso e cori) e Leonardo (batteria e programmazioni) grazie ai quali il gruppo prende vita.
Ad ottobre 2013 autoproducono il loro primo EP dal titolo "Morning Comes Electric".
A giugno 2014 vincono "Contestiamo" contest organizzato dal Contestaccio, classificandosi primi tra 66 band in gara
Ad Agosto 2014 partecipano al Messap Coast Festival come opening act, insieme ad altre band, per i Motel Connection
Nello stesso mese partecipano anche al Pollino Music Festival come opening act per Brunori SAS.
Ad Ottobre 2014 esce il loro secondo EP dal titolo "Pirouette - EP" ad un videoclip.
La band ha già suonato nei principali locali romani (Circolo degli Artisti, Atlantico Live, Blackout, Orion etc)
condividendo il palco con diversi artisti tra i quali THE WOMBATS (UK) e M+A.

THE WER was born in June of 2013, founded by Alessandro (Vocals, Guitar) and Valerio (Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals), later Gianluca (Bass & Backing Vocals)
and Leonardo (Drums and Progs) completed the formation.
In October of 2013 they released their first EP "Morning Comes Electric"
In June of 2014 they won "Contestiamo", a music contest hosted by the Contestaccio Live Club, they classified first out of 66 bands.
In August of 2014 they performed at the Pollino Music Festival and Messap Coast Festival, sharing the stage with Brunori Sas and Motel Connection
In October of 2014 they released the 2nd EP named "Pirouette - EP" as long with the "Pirouette" Official Video.
In two years of activity the band played in several stages like (Circolo degli Artisti, Atlantico Live, Blackout, Orion etc) and
shared the stage with many artists like THE WOMBATS (UK) and M+A.
