Description
The Tiger Temple or Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua is a sanctuary for wild animals, in particular orphaned tigers. It is a Theravada Buddhist temple located in the Saiyok district of Thailand's Kanchanaburi province, not far from the border with Myanmar. The tiger (Panthera tigris) is the largest cat species, reaching a total body length of up to 3.3 m and weighing up to 670 lb. It is the third largest land carnivore, behind only the polar bear and the brown bear.
