Daniel Graham, 39, of Milbeck Stables, Carlisle, and Adam Carruthers, 33, of Church Street, Wigton, were both found guilty at Newcastle Crown Court of criminal damage to the much-loved tree and to a section of the 1,900-year-old Hadrian’s Wall.
