Hi Mockumentaries have always fascinated me. This unique form of filmmaking which blends reality and fiction in a way that blurs the lines has a special allure for me. This passion was a major reason why I chose to study communication design. During my studies I learned a lot about design graphics and film and I continually developed my skills. Initially classic programs like Photoshop and Illustrator were my preferred tools. But soon I discovered Blender and After Effects which became indispensable parts of my creative process. Despite these changes in my toolbox my way of working remained the same have an idea and then execute it. With the advent of massmarket generative AI many things changed. Suddenly anyone could create content like illustrations and animations in seconds. At first I viewed this development with great suspicion. However my initial skepticism gradually gave way as I experienced the joy and quick success with the new technology. Instead of seeing it as a problem I recognized it as an opportunity. For me generative AI has become a valuable support in a modern workflow. Its not about simply adopting the AIgenerated results but about working with the generated data and integrating it into my creative processes. Full automation is foreign to me because I always want to retain control over the final product. For my graduation project I wanted to create a mockumentary where I could do everything myself. With the support of generative AI I believed I could achieve this. Screenwriting acting editing music everything should come from my hand. The approach remained the same have an idea and then execute it. But the implementation was much faster thanks to the new technology. This allowed me to create content that would have otherwise cost me a lot of money money that I did not have. Generative AI makes it possible to bring fiction to life turn fascination into reality and bring magic into everyday life. But this technology also involves a lot of work and responsibility. I wanted to portray all these aspects in my film.
