One of those sounds is “the sound of Korea” that carries the rich life stories of the Korean people.
That sound is 'pansori.'
Korean history bore a musician who eased the resentment of the public and comforted them through his plaintive melodies of pansori. His name was 'Im Bang-ul.'
His contribution to the development of pansori became a legend and is remembered by next generations. On this week’s 'The Sensation,' we will take a look at a life story of Im Bang-ul who was and will be the star and leading light of Korea’s pansori.
