Kim So-hui is considered the greatest prima donna and a legend of Korean pansori! She was a petit woman, but she was considered the last pride of traditional Korean music. In 1964, she became the first pansori singer who was designated as an intangible cultural asset. She was willing to do anything she thought was necessary to enhance the status and value of pansori.

Kim So-hui had emphasized for her entire life that being a great person should always be prior to being able to make a great sound. For her, life and sound cannot be separable.
