The Savv consists of 4 rocksteady bastards from Cork, each hellbent on rocking the Irish music scene to an insane degree.
We are:
Sean Hyland, (Lead Guitar, Vocals)
Kev Olden, (Rhythm Guitar, Lead Vocals)
Conor 'Crum' Moran, (Bass)
Lee Martin-Sullivan (Drums)
The band started with Kev Olden and Sean Hyland who had been writing songs since around 2005. Things came together in 2008 when Lee Martin-Sullivan added sticks and rhythm. Bands are nothing without bassists however.
Conor 'Crum' Moran had a bass guitar in his hand from age 10 and joined the band in April 2009.
The name The Savv (Yes that is S A V V ) came from a drunken slur on the name Savoy. We are regularly gigging around Cork and are always looking for new venues and opportunities.
We are in the studio and making huge progress after recording a number of tasty tracks for our upcoming EP.
The Savv pride themselves on having a large, loyal (and sexy) college fanbase, which has helped us win such titles as The Brú Battle of the Bands 2010, beating other top Munster bands to claim top spot.
We are just back from gigging over in the UK and are heading to the windy city Chicago for summer and already have a few things lined up over there.
We would like to thank all your fans for coming to the gigs, listening to our music and KEEPING THE SCENE ALIVE!!!
