Description
The last year has seen the resurgence of "hacktivism" - a combination of the words "hack" and "activism" that refers to breaking into secure computer systems and networks as a way of exposing political and social injustices. A common target has been white supremacy groups. We spoke to Jared Holt, a fellow at the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, and Lindsay Schubiner, Program Director at the Western States Center, about the return of hacktivism and the use of hacktivism to disrupt far right groups.
